CLIENT PROFILE
GPC is a locally owned and operated law firm with rich history and local ties to the Fredericksburg and Stafford regions. With a team of legal professionals led by attorneys Bob Goodall, Jason Pelt, and Brittany Carper; they are a general practice firm, concentrating in several areas of practice including bankruptcy, collections, criminal and traffic defense, real estate, wills, personal injury, divorce, child custody and support, and civil litigation. In addition, the firm is supported by multiple technologies – Microsoft Windows Server running Exchange, printing solutions from HP and Sharp, and a variety of legal applications including Best Case and LandTech. Lastly, ensuring regulatory compliance and client confidentiality is essential for protecting client information.

CHALLENGES
GPC was faced with a number of information technology (IT) challenges including an aging infrastructure, instability for computer network services, and reliability of technology support personnel. These challenges required technology upgrades and best-practice configurations to stabilize the computer network infrastructure.

SOLUTION
Reveille Systems is contracted to provide the full breadth of management and technology consulting services to the firm. We partnered with key stakeholders to quickly identify IT requirements and developed solutions that fit upgrade project budgets and schedules. Key solutions include:

  • Planning, design, and acquisition of all computer network upgrades including implementation of Cisco firewall and Cisco network switch devices to stabilize network connectivity and increase office efficiency
  • Planning, design, and implementation of Symantec Endpoint Protection to deliver a centralized monitoring and management solution for antivirus and other malware; resulting solution provides the firm with increased data protection and network security
  • Immediately assessed the as-built computer network to document the baseline infrastructure configuration, and then applied industry best practices to develop recommendations to improve network, server, and application performance; developed resulting network architecture and documentation
